I played the original version of this on Game Boy way back in 1990. At the time it was simply cool just to have a portable Castlevania game. The original game is available on the 3DS Virtual Console.

I've never played Corpse Party, but I know of it thanks to watching a YouTube video of one of the characters wanting to "butter up her pooper real good."
I've never been to Disney World, or even the state of Florida for th I at matter. When I was six years old we did go to Disneyland in California, though. My favorite Disney character has always been Donald. The original voice actor behind Donald Duck, Clarence Nash, was born here in Oklahoma, and his childhood house is still in the town he was born in.
Glad you had a good time with your family. I was lucky enough to enjoy a great two weeks in Boston with my family - and a day in Maine, thanks to a good friend and fine hostess. :)
I'd just like to have been in the studio when the actor who played Barry was recording those lines. I'll bet the whole studio was laughing, including him.
Welcome back to Pixlbit!
Panzer Dragoon Saga, Shining Force III. Suikoden II, Infinite Space, and Tales of Destiny II (PS1) are the rarest ones I have that I can think of off the top of my head.
I actually considered getting Operation Darkness at one time, when I was primarily a 360 gamer. I did play the demo. Then I got a PS3 and Valkyria Chronicles. :)
Honestly? I like the Resident Evil series, but I've gotta go with all the unintentionally silly moments in the first game like "You were almost a Jill sandwich!" and "It might be helpful if you, the master of unlocking, take it with you." Both lines were spoken by Barry Burton.
The chainsaw guys were probably the most pulse-pounding since it was a one-hit kill if they caught you.
Speaking of which, this might be jumping a bit ahead, but have you ever played Haunting Ground on PS2?
I haven't really bothered consulting game reviews when I buy games for many years,, which is part of why "game journalism corruption" has been a non-issue for me. I know what kind of games I like. The only thing I really need to know is if a game is obviously broken.
The only kind of reviews which might resonate with me are "thumbs up/thumbs down", a la Siskel and Ebert, or the "buy/rent/skip" model of reviewing, but even then. I generally ignore reviews.
Probably thinking of Salazar the midget from RE4.
A list that in many spots, I can agree with.
Majora's Mask is not my favorite Zelda - I preferred the Gamecube era over the N64 era when it comes to that series - but on the other hand, the amount of detail that went into planning schedules for every NPC was staggering, and necessitated the three-day time limit.
FFIX is a fine game with a lot of polish and definitely one of the high points of the series. FFIX and Majora's Mask were my 2000 GOTYs.
RE Code: Veronica, while I still prefer RE4 and missed this game during its original Dreamcast release, was still a very solid game.
I've always enjoyed the Sim games, or at least I did until Will Wright left Maxis and left the Sims in the hands of EA executives that don't seem to know their asses from their heads with regards to the games. The original SimCity with its EGA graphics and PC Speaker sound (which sounded like two cats screwing in a blender set on "puree") kept my 13-year-old self glued to my computer for hours on end, the original Sims likewise, and my most recent Maxis game was SimCity 4. Love all the intricacies and humor of the Sim games.
