Evil Within 2 Demoing and Warframing

The sequel is more of an action game. Very different type of game from the first. The first game emphasized stealth more, but I think the weapons work better in this game. At least there appears to be more ammo available to either gather or craft.

yeah. I also have a laptop thats perfect for older emulators and handhelds like gameboy/gba/psp. I used to use the gameboy player adapter on gamecube, and then the bulky ass tv to play a gba game on a bigger screen. Laptop all the way.

I was holding on to a bulky flatscreen because it had older video ports for gamecube/playstations/etc retro stuff, but glad I gave it away now. I rarely play games that old now. Much roomier now. I mostly just look for emulation for that old stuff. Now I limit to Steam/PC and ps3/ps4. My computer monitor has an HDMI port so I can use for both PC games and console. I can't wait for Switch so I can just play full console games portable and just stick to ps4.

Agree. I still have the ps3 plugged in, but wish ps4 had ps3 compatability. It's easier to have everything on Steam, but some are exclusive to console so...

I got the lone ranger pack for one christmas and it had neat cowboy levels and a horse to run around on. I also got Incredibles and Pirates of the caribbean ones.

I think the EW2 demo is pretty lengthy. I had a great afternoon playing it. I can't afford full price for it at the moment but I'll buy it later.

I got through another bump on Warframe and played more of it. There are things about it that aren't really explained (systems) and have to research a bit to get through, but overall I think the combat is very fast paced and good. The story is good too.

I started playing more SNES games via emulator when the snes classic came out. I've mostly been re-playing games in my library that I've enjoyed before like Lightning Returns and Bloodborne.

It's repetative as fuck, but the little furniture and outfits are adorable. It's kind of like those empire building/base defense games with the timers from crafting thigs. Basically, it's a mobile game with mobile game mechanics, but still very AC at the same time. Unlike that shameless FFXV empire building game that just skinned the game with FF brand.

Have you heard the podcast ThirtyTwentyTen? It's a pop culture podcast that covers something from the 80s, 90s and 2000s every podcast. Your latest podcast reminded me of them when I heard the latest NWP show. I really like that format, although they do movies, TV and film but I like the take on games. Really cool. I wouldn't mind a podcast featuring an 80s game, and 90s game and a 2000s game.

I'm with you on all your choices. I think it might have been one of your blogs or comments that got me to try Metro after you mentioned the atmosphere and story liking it to Bioshock and man do I love Metro now. I love learning about other games from other players, not so much from reviews ( I know they are players too), and that's how I got into Souls and Monster Hunter, from random dialogue on sites or podcasts. I saw the term "Strollplaying" a combination of strolling and roleplaying in reference to walking simulators, but the term broad enough to encompass both first person shooter-types like metro and deus ex and fallout as well as outlast and amnesia. I'm interested to hear which other games you like that are similar to Metro, because maybe apart from Fallout 3 and 4, or maybe F.E.A.R I want to play more games like that one.
