Other M was not a bad game at all. Despite it's story, as a platformer it was really great and one of the best 2D Metroids on current systems. The prime series is more of a first person exploration. People who missed out on Other M due to reviews should reconsider.
After MGS1, I recommend we do a horror type game for October. Dead Space, F.E.A.R. or a Resident Evil game? RE4 or 5 maybe 6? Maybe find a cheap indie game we can all get easily. I kind of want to try out that Silent Hill Vita game though.
It's a rare occurance, but I think when all of the DLC is released it will make DS2 a much better game, considering the more challenging/difficult parts of it will be in the expansions. I'm not in the camp that thinks DS2 is a bad game, but it isn't my favorite of the three, Demon's Souls being my fav, then DS1. I thought the DLC was very hard. I navigated through it all, but its really tough. Especially that optional boss battle with 3 enemies at the same time? Sure one of them can be nerfed, but still, having to get through a whole cave full of poison, in the dark, and then deal with the 3? I really feel like this game was meant for over leveled characters. The people complaining that the game is too easy was the main audience, but even those players went in over leveled. I try not to over level. I try to push through with whatever build I have and get into a fist fight. I hate making it easy.
I think this DLC is setting up for more difficult DLC this month and next.
I've never bothered to kill the dragon in this stage. I just took the low road through the bridge and then rush the crossbow dudes in the end. You actually have a lot of breathing room in that last part of the bridge to maneuver, the fire wont get you. The Tower Knight is very intimidating at first. I do a short sprint around the arena and take out the snipers first. Then ankles and face. rinse. repeat. ankles, face. rinse. repeat.
As for progress, I'm already through much of world 3 and 4. I'm going to farm and grind a bit before doing the awful world 5, then final boss.
I think with PSOne games on PSN, you have to download to PS3 first, then plug in PSP or Vita to transfer game.
I'm all in for MGS1. I think it's a few hours long. Too bad there is no HD remake of it.
I'd probably try to stay out as long as possible, then just pass out from exhaustion at night. Aren't there any libraries around for studying? You can talk to us if you're lonely. I'll read and respond to all your shit! 
There is also "rumors" of PS4 possibly being backwars compatible with PS1 an PS2 games, but just rumors. This is really good news if true, as Sony seems to not be able to emulate the entire PS2 library. I hope it's true.
I wrote a similar post about the WiiU outselling the xbox a while ago. It was mainly due to the Mario Kart 8 launch, and excllent franchise entry that I happen to own.
I don't hate xbox. But even among xbox fans, there is this criticism of laziness when it comes to new IPs for their system, hence the exclusivity of Tom Raider. It seems that fans of the Xbox hate Xbox the most sometimes. As Nintentdo fans complain about the WiiU the most. Or so it seems, from what I gather from gaming forums. Actually, the price drop of the Xbox has made it more appealing to me, but if I had to choose, I'd go with PS4 before XBO. Maybe in 2016-17.
I can see how coming into DemonsSouls after DarkSouls would be jarring. I think I prefer it to the other two, but only slightly. I think it's the compact design and atmosphere.
Persona 4 is definitely more colorful and has a peppy soundtrack, so I can see that game being more relaxing or comforting than a Souls game.
The thief ring keeps enemies from aggroing, so you can get closer to them and pick them off one a time easier than without it. Especially in later levels, it's quite handy. I think I always have it equipped unless I need a specific buff. Actually, the cling ring and thief ring, you get in the first level, are both pretty handy.
Bloodborne is supposed to be a successor to Demon's Souls. It might return to form.
Wasn't this a coop game? I remember it being coop like RE5, with an AI partner? I only played 1 and 2 so far. I don't like the sound of the save issue.
I heard the gameplay wasn't so scary? I hadn't heard about the saving thing? Oh, it's an EA game!
