Only thing I know about Eltrian Odyssey is that I think Yuzo Koshiro did the music. Definitely would be a selling point to me if I had time for those games.
Only thing I know about Arcana is that it was made by HAL Laboratory, makers of Kirby and Smash. I'm a huge fan of HAL Labs, but Arcana is one of the few of their games I've never played. I hear Kirby makes a 'blink and you'll miss it' cameo, though.
Darkwing Duck definitely isn't dark. In fact, it's one of the more slapstick of the Disney Afternoon cartoons. But it's still good.
"Pemmy" on the podcast has been my for real life in person friend for over 20 years and lives in the same area I do. I'm friends with the others as well, but I've only ever known them online.
When I hear "isometric shooter" I think of the view that you see the action in, like an isometric perspective. To that end, I think of Zaxxon and a later game called Viewpoint.

Stardew Valley is really no different than Harvest Moon, I don't know why everyone makes a big deal of it. But I think if you find farming boring, than try one of the Rune Factory games. They streamline the farming parts so it goes faster, which gives you more time to explore dungeons and fight monsters! You can even befriend monsters and have them work on your farm!
I think since I'm not a big fan of Pikmin, it was harder for me to get into Farmagia. But it did have some Monster Rancher vibes and some of the anime character designs are cool.
Cyber Cowboy isn't really that great. You're better off just playing Smash TV.
Luckily I think the red ring only happened to me twice. If it happened to me a third time, I would've said 'three strikes and you're out' and never would've played my 360 again. Almost happened with my Switch with JoyCon drift, too.
The newest Super Monkey Ball game is all right. The mini games focus on online more and aren't as good as the GC ones.
Super Mario Bros. Wonder is probably the best 2D Mario game since Super Mario World and Yoshi's Island.
I think my favorite twin stick shooters are probably Robotron, Smash TV, and Black Widow. There was a Ghostbusters twin stick shooter that came out I think at the end of the 360 life but I didin't get to play it.
Pop N Pop really plays more like a cross between Space Invaders and Puzzle Bobble.
