It really looks incredible, the graphics and the sound. I think I want to join a Japanese flute, koto, and wood blocks band now. Too bad the gameplay is disappointing.

Graspop looked like a blast. I watched that highlights video on their web site. Lot's of great bands there. Behemoth would've been cool to see, just to name one.

I got Unmasked earlier this year, but I haven't played it yet. Still got too many games.

Movies an hour away. Wow, you really got to want to see something to travel that far.

I knew "Papa Bear" kind of tangentally through following gaming news and podcasts. Seemed like a great guy. What does "natural causes" mean when you're 34 and what was his web site cocainemountain.com all about?

Scibblenauts is as close to a writing game as i can think of. Mavis Beacon's Typing Tutor is practically a game. I think they modeled the whole program to be like a game. Typing of the Dead also, but neither of these games has you writing anything really. Only Scribblenauts has you actually coming up with words to use in the game. Bravo to those guys.

I live near where Ursula Le Guin went to college. Bryn Mawr College. My Mom got her PHD in biochem there too. I've read her Earthsea trilogy and some short stories. One in particular reversed gender roles in a story about men having to go through some emasculation process. It kinda infuriated me, but I guess that's to be expected. Way to turn the tables Ursula. Bravo!

Eco Fighters! Coolness.

I love investigating the environment, but after a really thorough search and coming up short, I go right to a guide. Some of those items a bomb sniffing dog couldn't find.

Yea, try a demo. It's nowhere near as satisfying as Wolfenstein. The game really emphasizes stealth in a lot of missions and your weapons aren't nearly as powerful as in Wolfenstein. Something about the feel of the aim isn't quite right. Maybe it's just more realistically wobbly, but I had to slow down the look sensitivity, and I found myself using the sniper rifle a lot because you can slow down time by holding your breath, making targeting easier.

This Torchlight II talk has me really excited for a good action RPG. I may have to preorder Diablo III Ultimate Evil Edition coming out in August.
