RETROspective: Video Game Cartoons--The 2000s

Posted on 09/25/2014 at 03:15 AM | Filed Under Blogs

Devil May Cry: Cool.
Sands of Destruction:
"Succumb to me quietly!" Ha ha.
Little bear kicks some butt, is that Ted?
Angry Birds Toons:
Makes me think of the Roadrunner cartoons.
Rabbids Invasion:
OMG those voices are so annoying. A little would be enough I think.

And I've finally seen them all. Thanks for all that!

Celebrating Five Years of PixlBit

Pixlbit's been a total blast for me. I started blogging at 1UP back in 2010 and found it very addicting. I love putting together photos and text and having even one person comment on it. When 1UP folded, I listened to Rangergirl and came to Pixlbit.

I love the design of the site. It's very visually attractive and well organized. I see some bigger sites that are too busy with images and popups, and have a really careless design that looks like it was just thrown together. I'm a sucker for good design, I guess. Everyone here has been civil and wonderful too.

I've told many people I work with about this site now. I keep thinking it would be cool to have a bumper sticker so I can "sell" the site to everyone on the road as I work. The more the merrier they say. I only wish I had had this kind of place to go when in High School. I was really lonely then and could've used a community like this.

So as I always have to say, Happy Bidet Pixlbit!

That's what I think.

Who Would Win?

I think Handyman wins in Columbia because of being able to out maneuver Big Daddy with the rails, but Big Daddy wins in Rapture because he's deadly in small spaces especially when he's protecting a Litter Sister. On open ground. . . I think Big Daddy wins in the end. Once he gets that drill on Handyman, it's game over.

Finally Saw X-Men: Days of Future Past

I liked it after I saw it but it didn't stay with me long. I heard it was based on a story written in the comics. I'd like to read that sometime.

I used to take a one day break from my text books every week to read comics, but since I'm only getting trades now, it takes at least a whole week to read it. I have to consider it another text book and alternate. I can't wait to read the next graphic novel on the list I found at Forbidden Planet.com.

Today's Gaming. . . in a Rorschach Mood

I'm so into it, I got really upset today when I realized I didn't turn my 3DS on in the morning. No Mii's tonight, waaaa! Yesterday though I got someone from California adding another zone. I think that's really neat. Also I usually get this one Mii everyday and I keep wondering who it is.

It's available now on Vimeo. It's supposed to come to other streaming services soon too and on DVD/Blu-Ray in Nov or Dec. Here's the page (http://cinemassacre.com/2014/09/02/avgn-movie-available-now-vimeo-on-demand/ ). F'n library won't allow me to do hyperlinks.

My Nostalgic Vacation is Over. . . for now.

We did that last weekend, but I think I'll go back to the retro thing this weekend and revive the Nostalgic Vacation. I really, really want to continue with it.
