Not so much into survival horror stuff, but I was excited by the melee combat from the E3 videos of Last of Us, so I may give it a shot sometime.

This one seems to be the easiest of the bunch so far, at least until I got to a really major boss the other day that whooped my ass multiple times. It's also the most focused and streamlined of the series I think. It's a little bit less overwelmingly huge. So it actually might be a good primer to the series, although story wise it's full of references that someone who hadn't played 1 or 2 wouldn't get.
It goes B1, BtPS, B2. So wait for B1 and play that first. There was a reference my Fragtrap made once to something he did in B1 and I only vaguely understood it because I'd played B1 a while ago. It would be kinda cool to play them all in order.
It's cool that you can control the amount of light that gets through by carving less or more of the pumpkin and make some parts brighter than others. Neat!
"So complicated. This is like a plane simulator" priceless. That Cricket video game video is awesome!
Hulk vs Iron Hulk! Oh yeah!
I think I agree with all of that.
There is something about the action that frustrates me too especially when I get to tougher enemies and difficulty modes. It's really difficult to figure out which weapon is better than another. I'm going purely on rarity just to simplify things, but I'm not sure if that is a good way to do it. I'm beginning to think that I have to decide on the exact way I want to play at the beginning and then apply the boosts, skills, and particular weapon stats to support it. Thing is, I like just going with the flow in this game, but then I always end up a little under powered in the later stages. There's just TOO MANY WEAPONS! AHHH!!!
The thing that gets me is they give you no clue as to the recipes for The Grinder, but to experiment you really need to keep a lot of stuff. Every time I sell something I think, "I'm probably going to need that later on." Very frustrating.
I'm trying to get some handheld gaming in during the week, but I'm not finding the time. After I'm done looking at Pixlbit here after work, I'm usually ready for sleep.
