I was prepared to say, "holy shit, that sounds awesome, the team that perfectly captured Metroid in 3D working on Megaman?!" Then I saw the footage, and wasn't so impressed.

Mostly, it's the aesthetic; sure, the X series was darker story-wise, but I never gave a rat's ass about the stories (I only played X and X2, before the series was ported to Sony consoles and given anime cutscenes), and the X series still had a certain animated charm to it. Its levels may have been wastelands much of the time, but there was a lot of personality in them, whereas the game I just watched look like if Halo Chief was transplanted in a stage of Portal, only it was a straightforward FPS involving none of the personality and interesting mechanics from Portal.

It just looks so bland and generic, and I'd prefer to see X's face. I mean as much as I don't care about the story, it is clearly made important that his human-like traits are what make him unique, so why make a generic cyborg, that doesn't even have the iconic arm cannon, but some boring gun?

I love Retro and what they've accomplished, but this just looks like it was headed in the wrong direction, so cool as it sounds, I'm not too upset it was scrapped. Street Fighter X Mega Man is still awesome anyway, and that's free.

I only know Footloose and Top Gun themes, but based on those, that man's a genius. lol

As for Buckingham, Fleetwood Mac is a great band, but I wonder how it feels to be placed 100th on a list of 100 best guitar players... there are a lot of things I don't agree with Rolling Stone on.

I think in many cases, limitations are found through challenging one's self. Like that time Jordan tried playing baseball.

Yeah, I do too. I know it seems crazy, but the fact it froze right as one show began recording as another recording was in progress on the DVR seems like more of a coincidence to me. Well, third time's a charm right. Also, Falco has something to say.

Reason I ask is cause the two gold things things atop the back of the cartridge don't look like a screwdriver would be the thing to get them out, since they don't have screwdriver head shaped indentions. Once I figure out what tool is needed to get those out (maybe one of those really small cylindrical headed hand tools used for nuts? Name escapes me, but we have them at work and probably in the house) I imagine it's pretty similar to NES cleaning.

Any plans to do one of your cleaning blogs on N64 games? I know I bought a cleaning kit for the system a long time ago, but not sure I'll be able to find it, and any DIY advice would be appreciated. Thanks for the comment!

"Holiday Road," so THAT'S the song I hear in all those TV ads. lol Actually a pretty good song, all I've ever heard before was the vocal harmonizing in the chorus, which is the part played on TV.

I'll try that. I don't think that's the case, but it's definitely a possibility.
