Yeah, they did a decent job with Star Fox Assault minus every part of that which wasn't a Star Fox game. But I think they will do a good job with Smash Bros. as well.
Nice atmospheric mix.
That's too bad; while I never had one, I always thought the way PSPs/Vitas were similar in graphic capability to the systems out at the time was cool.
I've been there, man. Not with a game like this (I suck at them anyway), but I have been there. But like Aboboisdaman said, you gotta resist that expensive urge. lol
I'm afraid of the future.... I can't hack my way out of a paper bag, so the fact they do this with a game makes me worry about other things online...
I played Devil May Cry 4 this weekend, and just wanted there not to be so many damn cutscenes and loading screens for me to skip. I actually really liked cutscene driven games when I was younger and MGS made that the norm, but I was playing DMC4 to have a break from watching movies on Amazon Prime, so the fact at least the first part was trying to be a movie was annoying. -_-
I know you didn't mention anything about cutscenes, but you did mention games used to be about fun, and I remember when I could pop in Star Fox 64 and just play the damn th... wait, I'm back at home and own an N64. Well, don't mind if I do. (and I realize SF64 had cutscenes, too, but they were short, skippable, and caused almost no loading time).
Hadn't heard of this before, so is it like Ace Combat before Ace Combat, but with a "building your carrier" bent going on?
Even if it's got a lot of differences from modern dog fighters, your description sounds awesome.
Update: Nice to see you are enjoying it.
