I've heard of all those games, including Herc's Adventures, but I've never played them.

Just got a press release from Pok Pok saying they added a new mode where you can 'play house.'
Being blind in my left eye, I don't have much interest in VR either. But I really like Psychonauts.
There are a couple of games where you can kind of 'play cars.' One is Simpsons Road Rage, where there is a mode that lets you explore the whole city of Springfield freely without having a time limit to pick up and drop off passengers. This is neat because there are a lot of funny gags you wouldn't notice from a regular playthrough. Like the movie theater is showing titles like, "A Popsicle Now."
Another one is a PS2 game called Road Trip. It's actually a Choro Q game in Japan and lets you travel around a world freely between races. It really feels like you're on a road trip!
The PSP is one of my favorite non-NIntendo handhelds. Some aspects of the PSP I like better than the Switch! Some of my favorite PSP games include Ys Seven, Loco Roco 1 and 2, Gurumin, Work Time Fun, Mega Man: Powered Up, and many more!
I remember that Retro Atari Classics not being that great. They took old Atari games and gave them graffiti styled graphics and I think they looked pretty ugly.
I know I'm going to get tomatoes thrown at me, but I didn't really like the first Sonic game. Sure it looked really cool on TV, but once I played it at a demo station (remember those), I asked myself, "This is better than Super Mario World...HOW???" Like you said, for a game all about speed, they sure do penalize you when you go fast. For me, Sonic didn't get good, or at least halfway decent, until 3. Sonic 2 made me take notice because I thought Tails was cool. Tails and Ulala are my favorite SEGA characters.
Yes please check those out when you can. I'd like to play Monster Hunter Stories 2, but I have too much on my plate now and I never played the first one. I'd like to get the Monster Hunter Stories 2 amiibo, though!
R-Type Final 2 got a physical release as well. I would've bought it, but since it was so hard when I played it for my review, I decided to skip out on it unless it gets really cheap. Should've done the same for Alex Kidd in Miracle World DX.
I know about this nowadays, but I never heard of this or saw it as a kid.
