Spot on Mart! Actually, I 've never played the KOTOR sequel and now maybe I should.
I also read rumors about a new game being announced from Square Enix in Dec. Not sure if a new FF game or maybe a new IP? Final Fantasy 16? I'm curious to know if the lighting engine that was supposed to be included with Dark Soul 2 will finally be implemented since next gen hardware should be able to handle it now? If I get a PS4 early next year I'll play through it again with you.
How is Borderlands 80 hours? I got into it because I read it was a short game? Well if you can milk all of that game out of it then that is great!
I was mostly interested in the story. The combat is very streamlined and fast paced but I mostly looked at it as a diversion between story elements. A fun diversion mind you. I think the game did a good job of building up tension until the very end. I felt like everything I did mattered and I wanted to get to the bottom of everything that happened.
The story is basically X-MEN. Mages are feared and persecuted by the Templars who control the city of Kirkwall. You show up and essentially take sides with one or the other and it all culminates with political factions tearing the city apart in the end. The bulk of the game is spent trying align yourself with one side or the other and the characters in your party are all divided themselves Mages vs Templars. I thought it was pretty good. Some of my party members actually abandoned me before the final fight becuase they disagreed with my politics. I was like seriousely? WTF? But that can happen in Dragon Age which is why I love it.
EOIV is dope!
I was surprised I liked it too! But I did! It is definitly more action oriented and I was definitely over powered half-way through the game and I was wiping hordes off the screen like a fold out page from an X-MEN comic. There is a lot of talking in this game. A lot! It reminds me of those Tell Tale games sometimes but with more action. With all the super powers it kind of reminded me of those top down X-MEN RPGs that came out last gen. I think one was called Apocolypse or something.
It isn't focused on exploration at all. I think this was the biggest gripes from fans. You spend most of those 60 hours in the city and revisit the same locations. Story-wise I thought was interesting to see the power struggle between Templars and Mages. Character-wise I liked all the characters backgrounds and struggles. The action is super fast paced too. I think this was another issue with fans. Whatever.
I wouldn't mind getting a PS4 but library is so small right now. I'd love a 3DS XL. It would make a nice upgrade. Maybe some amiibos too.
You understand me Rangergirl! The fear is still alive.
I wasn't serious. Just goofin on you. lol
