It's definitely not you. It was happening in movies some years ago. Everything serious and gloomy. All those Batman movies. Now games have caught it. No one likes light hearted fun, or things that don't take themselves so seriously anymore (except Bayonnetta and that Guardians of the Galaxy movie). I guess it's the times, but I haven't caught it. I'm just as zany as always.

I played a Monkey Island game recently and, yea, it's a frustrating game for me, but aspects like the story and graphics pull me in every time.

They will be. I don't think they'll really return anything. I just worry about it so much. I wish the gift giving thing could be something simpler, or like reduced to token gifts or something. I just had a notion that I would just get a case of beer and say to everyone, "Here's my Xmas gift to everyone. Chug away." Ha ha! That would be crazy.
