December 2016 Recap

Posted on 01/02/2017 at 08:45 AM | Filed Under Blogs

I had high hopes for Lost World after enjoying Sonic Colors so much (it's probably my favorite Sonic game). Silly of me think Sonic Team could maintain a certain level of quality from one game to the next -___-

I just commented on your blog!

December 2016 Recap

I've only missed one month of PS+ games from being forgetful...but it was the month they gave away Dragon's Crown. Still mad about that.

Nice to see you back around. You had disappeared for a while (like I'm one to talk lol). Glad to see it wasn't a permanent change.

Cary's Best Games of 2016 Awards Show!

As soon as you mentioned that you'd gotten a PS4, I wondered if World of Final Fantasy was part of the reason. I'm planning to get that eventually. The end of the year is always so busy for me at work, I hardly get to play any games. Still gotta put together my own year end wrap up and awards blog too. Might take me till next weekend Undecided

Right now I'm looking forward Gravity Rush 2 coming out in a couple weeks.

Achieving the Ultimate Evil This Xmas Eve

We've been slowly making our way through Diablo III for several months now, though we played it only once in December (busy month!). I think it'd be kind of boring solo (haven't tried) but I really enjoy it as a multiplayer game.

A Fire Upon the Deep

I think there's just three book: the original, a prequel, and a sequel. I'd certainly like to read them all. I also want to get the Realtime stories (Marooned in Realtime sounds especially interesting, I think). I still just can't believe I went all these years and never heard his name one time. It's a vast world of books out there, I guess.

I knew I could count on you, Snee! Laughing

...or, at least, I figured if anybody would have read it or would find it interesting, it would be you.

A Fire Upon the Deep

Earlier this year I actually looked through a list of all the Hugo winners and the thought about reading them all did cross my mind—it would make a really cool reading list!—but thankfully I dumped the idea pretty quickly. I have enough cool books to read without trying to track down a bunch more.

I've seen that Pillars of the Earth book. It's HUGE!

This year is probably the first of the last five that I've really gotten back into reading novels. Sometimes you just need to do other things.

I did some reading about him online when I first came across one of his books and it seems like A Fire Upon the Deep is probably his most well known and highly regarded. But yeah, I can't imagine he's written anything that isn't chock full of interesting ideas.

I have a confession. When I listen to NWP while commuting, I...I wear pants!
