I tried out Glitchhikers--very cool. I was wanting to play Ethan Carter and Bird Story.

Cool!
and I'll definitly be looking forward to yours. Mine are fairly predictable as well. If I blogged about it, I probably liked it.
The list doesn't have to be only new 2014 games. It can be the most fun/best game you played this year. Who the hell can afford so many new releases? It doesn't even have to be 10 games. I was thinking of doing Top Gamer Outrage of the year like #Gamergate, and Tomb Raider, Street Fighter console exclusive. Hmm...
and I'm just a cheap bastard so I'm late to the party on most new games.
Diablo 3 is really good I think, I've been playing a lot of it. It will keep you away from other games for sure, but I usually go to it is my fun action game in-between the other games I've been playing that are more challenging.
Thats funny because I actually feel like there were plenty of great games this year, and they've only gotten better. Granted, I do include PC, Indie and mobile games as well as MMOs. I also tried to branch out and try genres I've never really cared about before. Old school RPGs like Divinity Origins and Empire building, resource games like Endless Legends. Oh, and card deck games like Hearthstone.
On a side note, what was your dislike of Inquisition? The thing that is putting me off from it is that it seems to have removed dialog and story elements from previous games in favor of an open ended action game. If this is true, then I'll just wait for a price drop because I can get that from any number of MMOs honestly.
Also, I think you may have had a rought year. I was planning on quitting games mostly because I feel overwhelmed with choices, not necessarily because I think they are getting worse.
The game doesnt matter. It was just the notion that I suggested something other than everyones favorite Kool-aid that set the exploding barrel off. I never complained about the game being played, I actually love the game too. You just can't win with some people.
I remember when you hated Souls games, then you went and gave them a second chance. Imagine if you had ignored our comments and went back to playing whatever else you were playing never having given Souls games a chance? This is why I hold discussion and debate valuable in this hobby, no need to be brats and get into fervent rage fights for suggesting something new like what I experienced the other day.
Thanks. I will check it out when I finish Hotel Dusk. Too bad the games weren't continued, especially now that visual novels are so popular again.
