
I don't think Souls games are redundant, they have very good one-on-one combat where there is always a chance you can die. I was mostly referring to games like Diablo 3, where you are just clicking endlessly looking for loot, and that is the bulk of the game. Even that game can be more challenging in harder levels, but a lot of new MMOs are guilty of this. A lot of the game is locked away until you reach level cap. I love Diablo 3 however, so thus my defense of redundancy in certain aspects. this is a weird subject matter.
