It's pretty spoiler free. The writer speaks very eloquently about what makes the balance of game play so rewarding. It's specifically talking about Survival mode, which is probably one of the harder modes available, and so the game took him like 30 hours to finish, when most finish 15-20 and dismissed the whole thing.
Good to see Nintendo represented! I need to try out that weapon crafting game on 3DS, heard so much about it. Shovel Knight is totally rad!

There was another part to my 'redundancy' rant blog that I chopped off where some of my favorite content this year was DLC. DLC for Diablo 3, Dark Souls 2 and even expansions like Rift: Nightmare Tide, World of Warcraft (which I don't play), and as well as a new continent in ArcheAge, also some great tracks in Mario Kart 8. Also Shadowrun: Dragonfall was kind of the same game as before, and Lightning Returns was a sequel. In short, I agree with you.
Is this game on PS3? Was this the one Snee said was broken before a patch? The combat reminds me of Divinity Original Sin, it can be really tough some times. Is there an entry level strategy game you'd recommed for a noob? I like Fire Emblem and FF Tactics, etc. Not familiar with other Tactical JRPGs. Is Disgaea any good for beginners?
My HDD on my PS3 isnt big enough to hold bigger titles anyhow. I mostly just download classic games for my VITA.
I was just playing WiiU and Steam, so I wasn't aware of the attack. Sucks for new console owners that maybe needed crucial updates to their firmware or games. I'm surprised that Microsoft was affected as well. I thought they had tons of cash invested in their network to avoid these types of things?
Actually it was the CEO of the company that liked a Neo-Nazi page on his facebook account, and his defense was pretty lame. It was something like, "I don't watch the news, I get my news from the Internet and I get news about the Middle East from this Neo-Nazi page". That's like me getting my news from Stormfront. Fucking lying scumbag. That tumbler page was actually correct, and some gaming sites did press them on the affiliation to Nazi groups aftewards. They're just stirring up shit to get hype for their shitty game. I don't care about the content of the game either way.
Which character will let me kick ass in online mode? What is the new MetaKnight?
You can play these games simultaneously actually. The Evil Within is like 20 hours long or so and much shorter, while Dark Souls 2, well you can potentially keep playing it with New Game + forever, and you dont really need the DLC until you finish the game, otherwise the DLC will just murder you if you are under powered! The Evil Within gets better after the 3rd or 4th Chapter when you get better upgrades and abilities. I actually think Evil Within has a more visceral atmosphere than DS2. Have fun!
