I think that Metroid Prime was overshadowed by the popularity of Halo on XBox. They are both sci-fi FPS but Halo became a cultural phenomenon that propelled Xbox to success.
I lost track of time the other night becuase I got so into the game. Memories!
I'd love to have the disc, but I'm glad I got the whole thing for $10. I still have all the games on Gamecube and Wii, so I can always have a true retro experience.
Oh! Wind Waker is a no brainer. It is super awesome. I guess because I have it installed on my WiiU in HD I forgot it was a gamecube game.
But the 'figuring out how' to get from point A to point B is exactly how the 2D Metroids work and what ties the two together. The 3D games are considerably slowed down compared to the 2D games but they are intentionally designed to be that way-- they are more about exploring than running past everything.
Here's my controversial comment: I don't like the combat in Dragon Age games. The thing I remember the most from Origins and the sequel were the characters and story. The combat is better on PC for origins, but I always felt like DA games were trying to be action games and are probably better if they were.
Even the hints are a bit vague. Sometimes you still have to figure out 'how' to get to the point the map is telling you to go to.
Some of my favorite games had bad game design and stories so...umm?

It depends on the game really. I for one really love dark themes, so I can do with bad story or gameplay to a certain extent. If you have at least one of the three is good enough for me I guess. Dead Island had good gameplay but no story. Metroid Prime has like no story but good gameplay. I'm not picky.
I only post replys from ipad. I have to type out a blog on Wordpad or any text editor and copy/paste. We've all discussed this before. Just copy/paste from text editor if it is going to be a long, thought out blog. There is also a Draft option so you can save your progress in the blog editor.
The game requires you to invest time into learing how the game works. You aren't going to instantly hit and win everything like every other AAA game that's out there. That is part of the appeal of the game. It's as hard as older NES games were that required skills. I'm horrible at the games and even I was able to beat them all.
