There's something special about the 2D Mario games. Somehow, Super Mario 64 and Galaxy were great and all, but the 2D games are a little more focused in their challenges i think. I was going to college when SMB came out, so I kinda missed out on it all. Funny, I don't remember any students with a NES, but I guess that wasn't the right audience. I got it later when I was starting to collect games in the mid 90s. Darn, it would be cool to boot up an old NES sometime. Gotta do some retro gaming soon.
I'm obsessed with completion times in games right now. I organized all my games according to completion time and am playing them in order of shortest to longest. Longest is probably going to be Skyrim at over 200 hours. This is completionist time, not story time. Howlongtobeat.com lists Dragon Age Inquistiion completionist time as 121 hours. I'm on games under 12 hours at the moment.
I just saw an ad for it when I went to the theater to see Mission Impossible. I'm interested in seeing what the community makes like they did with Little Big Planet.
I'm about to get back into MadWorld again. I played part of it when it came out but never finished it. Now I'm going to try and beat it. This game Mayhem in 3D I'm playing now reminded me of it because it has the same art style, if completely different gameplay.
This game looks amazing. I think I had a copy of it sometime way back. i'd like to get it again and play it to the end.
i like those Darkstalkers characters.
Yea, I stopped listing everything I saw in a particular year because I saw too many movies in the late ninties and early 2000s. It's so hard to pick just one though.
Yea there's always this thing with movies released late in the year carrying over to the next year's list on wiki. Titantic was in the theaters for all of 1998 even though it released in '97. What to do. . .
It's darn good, but look at 2001: GBA, Gamecube and Xbox came out with some interesting games (Advance Wars, Luigi's Mansion, Halo) and also PS2 with GTA III..
