i distinctly remember reading a very average review of Urban Chaos: Riot Response (early Rocksteady FPS) in GameInformer, but their description of the game told me I would very likely love it. Sure enough, I did. I swear the allgameguide rating started at 3 stars out of 5 and then changed to 4 after Rocksteady did Batman Arkham Asylum.
I remember that annoying me because I set up some interesting shots with the Pokemon in different parts of the frame. Well, it is science, not art.
Quest For Booty was like a very simple affair. Guns upgrade automatically and there aren't any collectibles. They put it out there during the off year between Tools of Destruction and Crack in Time. It's fun but there's not much to it.
I think I looked up a guide for some of those Blue Canisters. I'll keep an eye out for you online this weekend.
I've only played the frist few hours of Skyrim. Need to get back to that.
I've been recently tempted to just grab a flight to Vegas to play at the Pinball Hall of Fame. I've heard flights there can be pretty cheap.
Downloads really killed my music interest for a long while. Only this year have I started to get back to it. I have one used record store around, Barnes & Noble, and libraries galore for my CD cravings. I'm downloading from iTunes only as a last resort. What will happen with games? I think the same. I'm going to buy last gen stuff used until I get the new systems, and then I'll probably wait for sales for anything on those consoles. Buying something for $60 new has to be a special experience, and watching a download isn't special.
I'll be listening to all the talk about those games on my podcasts. I have to look at October and see what I might pre-order, providing it's not a downloadable game. I so wanted a physical copy of Overlord this week, darn it!
Oh cool! I wonder what the people at the gym will think.
Oh geeze! I meant Green Bay/Seatle. What was I thinking.
I didn't think there were any more for last gen, but when I looked up easy achievement games, I found Mayhem. What a great find that was! And $4 too.
I was kinda of relieved to not have trophies for R&CQfB. It would've led me to replay it searching for secrets and stuff, which isn't bad, but I have a long list I want to get to. Whole game took about four hours.
Ninja Gaiden Z isn't a typical NG game. It's much easier, although, the bosses are a pain until you figure out just the right attack.
This is why some games labeled "bad" by reviewers are actually good, in the sense that they are just stupid fun.
