Happy late Halloween. I was working late that night. Saw it all from the road.

i didn't really intend to play any Halloween games this year, but I ended up playing Luigi's Mansion and Castlevania. I also bought Silent Hill HD Collection.
I don't play many horror games, but my favorite might be Condemned: Criminal Origins. I love the hand-to-hand combat in that game. Having only melee weapons for the most part makes enemies much scarier.
Pizza. Everyone gets pizza.
I added Syndicate to my list this week. That's a Starbreeze game I didn't know about. Gotta try it.
Can't think of one off the top of my head. I can think of a lot of books though. I guess I don't really look for story in video games or for some kind of important effect. I mean, I've been wowed by the art in games, the music, the execellent gameplay, but when I think of what you're saying, I can only think of books I've read. Those have affected me deeply and changed my life in subtle ways. I haven't found a game that has done that for me, and I don't think I expect a game to do that. Games feel more like sports to me. I'm in it for the action.
Everything downloadable scares me too. I lost a lot of my interest in music after it all became downloadable. I fear that's what is going to happen with me and games.
Skylanders interests me. I like the monster designs a lot. I'll try it out sometime.
I replayed that recently and still loved it. It did strike me that it avoided some of the nastier aspects of that time and place in history.
And green. The earth tones (wait. . . not exactly that really. Green yes, but red is something else. Whatev) always appeal to me, especially the darker shades. I just remembered I did a painting in school once that was totally a similar color palatte, lots of dark reds and greens.
I was way into Spider-Man and Justice League (called Super Friends then) on TV as a kid.
How about being a deck hand, and the challenge is to rig the sails correctly in various situations of weather and manuevering. Or you could be the captian and have to manage your crew to do their jobs correctly. I think I played a demo of one of the Assassin's Creed games where I walked around a sailing ship and was amazed at the level of detail.
MV looks very Escher influenced.
