I play it pretty often on my Game Boy Player ... well, it and Fusion. I wish that thing would play DS games too, that'd be awesome.

That makes sense, since that was the first 'Vania game to my knowledge to incorporate the Metroid-style exploration elements.
No, I get that that's what it means and I'm not saying every game in a given genre must be exactly the same, but I think the item system gives the games enough difference to be considered their own thing.
Yeah, they have a lot of similarities, like what you mentioned, but I dunno, I think the genre they're in should have a name that isn't a combo of two different series. As Alex said, I think adventure-exploration would be a fitting term.
They're both very similar, and I use the term myself, but there are some key differences I notice the more I play either series.
Damn, I really need to keep playing Tomb Raider. Guess my Spring Break mission is to beat it.
Didn't notice the crotch guards before, but now that you bring them up, I think they're smiling at me.
I'd be pissed if I got a game I pre-ordered later than everyone else. Unless they threw in another freebie of some kind.
If I remember, I'll add you on Twitter, but I'm trying to go easy on social media for Lent. I'm not Catholic, but I would like to get rid of certain habits.
Bowties are cool.
Here in Texas, the weather keeps changing. Was damn cold and overcast yesterday, looking warm and sunny today. Too bad we have to move that stupid hour forward. I was asleep after doing some rather lenghty and tedious homework for my professor's research, so I didn't feel it or notice the difference, but I'm retroactively pissed off about it. Can we just set the clock back and leave it there, or better yet, just set the clock back every once a few months and never forward? That'd be nice.
Yeah, they might be similar for all I know, it just doesn't look like it to me, having seen Naruto imagery. The number of episodes is why I'll never get into One Piece, which apparently is a huge thing for anime viewers/manga readers.
2013 sure is looking like a great year for MMOs.
