Hopefully you're all familiar with OCRemix, the internet's premiere source (in my opinion) of fan arrangements of game music. Back at 1UP I posted a brief blog each week highlighting one of the remixes and with a short hiatus behind me I want to continue doing that here on PixlBit. So, without further ado...

[Here's one of my old 1UP blogs presented for your emjoyment. I originally posted it on August 6, 2011, for the 25th anniversary of Metroid (hence the title). My wife was the only one that commented on it back then so I don't think too many people actually saw it and since no new Metroid games have come out since then, well, I guess it's still current. January was a crazy month for me on the games front with a bunch of games beat or bought. February was much simpler.

Hi, everybody. My name is Philip and I'm another of the many 1UP refugees that have been floating around. I've looked at a couple different gaming sites in the week since the news about 1UP broke (though it's been a very busy week for me) and I like what I've seen here at Pixlbit. Knowing a bunch of people already doesn't hurt either
