So I did finish Watchmen, like, two weeks ago or something (time flies!). It was really good! I was under the ending was going to be very dire—I mean, it WAS but not like I'd expected, though the fate of a certain character made me sad. If I had to choose one word to describe the book, though, I'd go with "gray." Well, how about "grey" because that's a cooler spelling  Nothing is as simple as good and evil. Just look at who the villain was, what he did and why, and the fact that he questioned his own actions at the end (trying to avoid spoilers). Anyway, I enjoyed reading it and will definitely be picking up some more Alan Moore stuff in the future. I also plan to watch the movie. I've already picked it up from the library lol but haven't had time to watch it yet. It's 142 minutes! But I want to get to it while it's still somewhat fresh in my mind.

25 years of Game Boy!

In continuation of my recent foray into comic books, I started reading Watchmen this week. Hard to know what to expect when reading something so famous but so far it has been very interesting. Up to this point it's been almost entirely backstory (aside from the little bit that's been happening with Rorschach). I keep wondering when the "present day" is going to kick into high gear but at the same time I can't seem to put it down.

Back in February (Valentine's Day, to be precise) my wife got me Silent Hill: Book of Memories for the Vita. It was my first (and still only) physical Vita game. I'd been thinking about getting it but hadn't decided yet, so she saved me from having to actually make the decision. It was very sweet of her but I still haven't played it. The main reason is that Book of Memories is not a traditional Silent Hill game. It's a dungeon crawler.

I was never into comics much as a kid. I dunno, guess I just kept busy with other things (like video games), and I was always on a pretty tight budget while growing up. Comics can be expensive! But within the last couple of years I’ve gone on two comics binges.
