I picked up Yoshi's Woolly World today for Wii-U at Gamestop for $16. It's the fourth game in my Wii-U collection alongside Pikmin 3, Zelda Wind Waker HD and Skylanders Superchargers. I still need a Wii-U though. I may have that remedied soon. I'd like to have one for October when I review the years 2010-2014. 

Kind of down at the moment. Not just about games but career stuff. Maybe it'll pass, maybe not. Anyway I played three games today that totally frustrated me and then I saw the Forza Horizon 4 demo and played that with relish. Oh and I bought Last Remant for Xbox 360. Here's a pic. 

How about that for a game. I wonder what that would look like? A lego yarny’s turn-based battle against a corporate time-lord. Seems like a good idea actually.

Today I played some retro titles on Wii, watched some more Clone Wars episodes, played the Lego Star Wars take on them, and finally dug into Batman Arkham Origins.

It dawned on my the other day that my retrofest plan was based on my life, and that I should tie it in to a kind of autobiography. I have resisted this up until now because I always cringe thinking about it. I'm not particularly happy with my life as it is so far. But, it's a good writing exercise and I'm beginning to think of myself as a writer, so here goes. My autobio for these years.

I ripped through three Wii games today and watched and played Star Wars Clone Wars. Oh yea, and there was a football game I watched one half of.

I broke out the Wii and played a few games over the last few days. Then I attempted to get to the End Dragon again in Minecraft, and failed. Here's a picture of my Wii.

I set up my Wii and was going to play Fortune Street, but I snuck into my friend’s Minecraft world instead. Sometimes he kicks me out, but we’d been working on this world since last time, and I wanted to see if I could get a few more achievements. At the end of it, when I looked back on what I’d done, it seemed like I had gone on a fishing vacation

It’s September and that means it’s time for another retro fest, this time covering the years 2005-2009. I’ve done most of the research so far and already seen a film, rented some books, and organized my video game collection in preparation for my “weekend”, which is in the middle of the week right now. I’ll break it down by media type, since that’s how I organize my spreadsheet.

I ran through half a dozen games on Original Xbox today to see which ones I wanted to keep. Then I joined my friend playing Minecraft on Xbox One and got seriously lost in the world. I managed to knock off a few more achievements though.
