So these, I remembered, were the same game except 4.1 was remastered and given a few kaiju for the PS4. But in playing 4.1 again, I realized there are a lot of differences and I am quite pleased with it. It's definitely the best version. 

I've decided to keep my old lists and do this thing where I take in one classic from four media types every month. It's a thing to do, and fun. So here are the media for March I'm focusing on. 

Xevious is number 3 on my Top 40. Question is, do I still have this game, and do I have something physical with this game on it? The answer is yes and yes, but do I have everything? Here’s what I got and don’t got.

I’m trying to get my collection together based on my Top 40 list. I’m working on the Taito collections and related games right now, but what about number 2, Stampede. I looked up some stuff, and I’m glad to say, I still have several of the collections the game is included on.

Here's my Top 40 games/series. It's not quite complete but I'm sticking to 40. I also listed the devs where I could because I generally like other games by the same deveoloper. I ditched my other lists for this one. Maybe this will stick. 

I read a lot about Taito Corporation the other day and made a list of games I should have. Then i played some more Earth Defense Force 2025 and made some good progress. 

Some for not very long, but still 9. 

This is the second half of the 80s and my college years. Nintendo revived the video game industry with the NES but what did I know about it? I played games on an Apple Macintosh and in the arcades. I had no home or handheld consoles, so sorry NES, Sega Master System and GameBoy.  

I made a list of my favorite games, and it's so darn long I have to break it into 8 parts, roughly following console generations. This, the first part, is about the Golden Age of video games: arcades, consoles by Atari, Intellivison, and ColecoVision and PC. 

I had an unexpected afternoon to play on Sunday since my work schedule suddenly switched to Saturday. I was in a casual mood and so, to the tunes of bucolic flute music, managed a crew of Gnomes around a pre-industrial town of mines, mills and mage towers.
