These are the games I played last Tuesday when I was off work. The routine is somewhat different every time I get to play. Like last week I played some Gears of War Judgment in four player co-op. It was fun and I'm going for a hardcore run of the game that way. I didn't get to Gears last Tuesday though. Here's what I got to. 

My copy of Lego Lord of the Rings failed to work the other day, so I installed and started Lego Marvel Super Heroes, which is, so far, very fun. 

I'm almost finished with Lego Batman 2. I've gotten all the achievements that I can get but one. This means I've got a dozen or so gold bricks left, a handful of unlocked characters, and a few other oddities like saving the last few "people in peril". I'm still debating with myself whether it's worth the time and effort to go after them, but I have one achievement left I can get easily and that's getting 10 billion in studs. I'm at 3.5 billion and I have all the stud boosters unlocked so that I make about 3600X. Still, 10 billion is a lot and will require going through all the levels again as that's where a lot of the studs can be found in quantity. 

Getting bargain bin comics is always fun for me. I get to check out a new series without much financial risk and there are usually some old video game ads within. These are from two issues of the comic Terra about a female hero who can control rocks. 

It was last weekend (May 7th) in my area, and I picked up a half dozen or so previews for new or recently released comics. Most of these inside contained excerpts from full comics to come. It got me looking forward to a few. 

I found more interesting video game print ads in old comics I picked up in the bargain bin at my comic shop (Ren and Stimpy and Pirates of Dark Water no. 1).

I'm using May as board game month this year. My theme for the month is the 1950s. I think board games might have been the most popular form of gaming back then. So it's a good excuse to explore them myself this month. First up is Stratego. 

I always download every Games with Gold freebie on Xbox every couple of weeks and give them a try. Sometimes I find something I like and stick with it for a while. MX vs ATV Alive, out originally in 2011, was one of them.

I've gotten a bit frustrated with my randomized game lists. I've got some great choices upcoming but I can't seem to get to them because of Gems of War. My friend and I have been playing it obsessively for weeks now, maybe it's been months. It never seems to end. So I created a new list of most recent games I'd like to try and I'll see if I can't wrench myself away from Gems with it. Here's my Spring 2022 list (covers months March, April and May): 

I always save any game ads I see in comics. Some of them are pretty cool. They don't seem to do this in recent comics though. Here are three I found recently.
