    I did a kind of Where Are They Now search for some of my favorite old school games the other day.

    A few things I forgot to mention about my week.

     Sunday (my Saturday): I set up my Vita since my gaming buddy was busy AGAIN. Otherwise I would have been playing Oblivion all afternoon. I'll be doing that on Monday though, so I guess it's ok. First thing with my VIta was I had to figure out just where to put the tiny memory card. I had to watch a youtube video to find the right slot. The image on the setup guide that came in the box wasn't too clear. I tried to put it in what I now know is the game card slot and it just clattered around in there, obviously not the right place for a memory card. No problem though. I figured it out.

    Tues-Sat (my work week): Played a few more hours of Ni No Kuni on PS3. I need to get more time in with it, but often at night I am tired and just play PSP in bed. I had to relearn the controls for battles. I'd been away from it for almost a week. It's not hard, but battles are a little hectic until you get used to them. You have to make quick decisions and know where all your abilities are on the screen so you can click them quickly.

    My friend today told me about a guy at his work that sold him a Heavy Sixer for $1 with a bunch of carts. Now, I'm pretty knowledgable about games and systems, but I had to scratch my head. What the heck is a Heavy SIxer? A minute's thinking had my best guess at some sort of Atari 2600 because they're often refered to as six or four switch. Sure enough, yes. It's a six switch AVCS, but not any six switcher, but the very first AVCS put into production! It's heavier than the more common decks and has some slight visual differences. It's guts and controllers are apparently a little better quality than subsequent versions as well.                                

    I came across a few more game ads for Batman Arkham Origins and Scribblenauts: Unmasked and scanned them. For BAO I thought I'd look back at all the Batman Arkham ads since I managed to collect one for each game over the years.
