  Every week on Tuesday I look through new releases for music, games, and books/comics. It dawned on me yesterday that I should be posting the interesting stuff that I find. DUH! Below are a D&D box set and a Halo game that I’m excited about.        

   So the VGX Awards 2013 are determined by an advisory board of games journalists from most of the biggest magazines and news web sites except for a few awards that are voted on by viewers such as the Most Anticipated Game award. I can't really disagree with this list as I've only played Bioshock Infinite, Ni No Kuni, and Far Cry 3: Blood Dragon all of which were worthy of getting awards this year in my opinion. Take a look at this list and let me know what you think. Is it good or a bunch of nonsense?

     Saturday was the first day of Winter, the Winter Solstice, so I thought about what wintry games I could play this week and went out a bought a few and played them while drinking some First Snow Ale. Read on for the results.

     This video was really good ripping super fast through all the major issues about graphics in video games. See if you can keep up. I gotta watch it again to get it all.         

     I got stuck in Mario & Luigi: Dream Team trying to find Big Masiff but I think I figured it out. You have to use the Luiginoids to bat a bomb towards a target. I was just letting the bombs bounce off me to no effect. I think I just have to hit the bomb with the Luiginoids at the right moment like a baseball with a bat. I’ve seen several baseball references in this game and it makes me think of the Japanese infatuation with that sport.

     I played more Mario & Luigi: Dream Team. Not much though. A depressing and busy week for me. More about that below.

     I scanned three lovely video game print ads, The Wolf Among Us, Marlow Briggs and the Mask of Death, and Yaiba: Ninja Gaiden Z, from my comics these last few weeks. Thought I'd share them and maybe discuss them a little.
