I recently picked up a whole box of old Dragon Magazines at a library book sale, about 60 of them, starting with this issue #65. I started reading them a little bit and found them to be really fun to revisit. Since a lot of this stuff intersects with video gaming in many ways, I thought I'd take a few notes and share some interesting things I came across while reading them. Oh yes, and my favorite part: scans of covers, ads and artwork that caught my eye. 

I'm almost done with the main game of Borderlands The Pre-Sequel. I've only got a few more achievements to chase before the first major DLC hits on the 14th. I can't play more today though because my car is in the shop and my 360 is at my friend's place. With a train ride and a 2 mile walk, I can get there, but I overslept and now it's not worth the trip. I'll have to wait until next Sunday.

So, possibly the last set of notes I'll make for Brett Weiss' book The 100 Greatest Console Video Games: 1977-1987. As Bob and Doug Mckenzie might say, "follow along and don't get stuck".

With some slight adjustments to my schedule, I couldn't blog anything Sunday or Monday night like I usually do, but I found some time this afternoon on Tuesdy to do it. I got back from North Carolina on Saturday. On Sunday I hung out with my buddy Mark (aka Mad Krammer) and we played Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel co-op all day and then again on Monday until Xbox Live crashed around 9pm. Turns out some hacker group turned them off again. I don't know how that all worked itself out, but I hope it all got fixed. I want to do more co-op gaming next weekend.

This is page 7 notes to the Brett Weiss book, The 100 Greatest Console Video Games: 1977-1987. Perhaps a few of you will remember these times, or at least remember the first few years of NES where such great titles as The Legend of Zelda, Mario Bros., Mega Man, and Metroid were released. Anyway, on to more notes. 

Onward with more gameplay footage and thoughts about games from the second generation of video gaming that takes place from Star Wars: A New Hope to Predator. Or more specifically, my notes as I continue to read Brett Weiss' book The 100 Greatest Console Video Games: 1977-1987.

I guess this question is on everyone's lips on the week of Thanksgiving (provided you celebrate Xmas). Well, I thought I'd ask the Pixlbits out there the same question. But first, I'll tell you my answer.
