I didn't exactly follow my plan I laid out in my previous blog. I went straight to my friend Mark's place and we headed out to watch Seventh Son in the theaters. It was a pretty much a by-the-numbers fantasy flick: very predictible but full of interesting special effects and action. Just turn your brain off and have fun, and it was. Then it was time to pick up some burgers at Five Guys and head back to play video games. 

Thought I'd run down what I'm planning on doing later tomorrow (technically it's today, but I'm going to sleep the first 8 hours, so it feels like tomorrow to me).

I just finished John Shirley's novel Halo: Broken Circle, the latest, and 13th, novel about events in the Halo universe.

Concerning Dragon Magazine 94, February, 1985, the month and year Steve Jobs was interviewed in Playboy Magazine about the Apple Macintosh computer, a hot product on the market that year. It’s an amazing interview with just tons of Mr. Job’s prognostications and insights into the computer industry. I think I was part of this Apple revolution and didn’t even know it. I had a Macintosh Plus I took to college in ’86.

So just before BaD began, Mothman mentioned he was going to post a lot of Panda pics again this year. That put me into a kind of Panda fever and I started planning on playing every game with a Panda in it for BaD. Well, I decided, after buying a bunch of games, that maybe I was stealing Mothman's thunder a little bit, and so I ditched it. But, I was glad to have the games I got, and now I can do a little blog about them. 

So sometime last Fall I discovered Mii Plaza and Street Pass on my 3DS XL. I've gotten more and more obsessed with it. Now I carry my 3DS XL around with me all the time. I greet Miis every night, and then run them through the various Mii Plaza games. I would usually get three or four Miis a day and use my coins gathered from steps taken to fill out the crew to the max of ten. Last week though, I decided to save up all the Miis until I hit 10, and then play the games. Last week I got nine after a whole week. I'm hoping for ten this week, but we'll see. 

Diablo 3 today. Again. Can you believe it?

I was a true patriot of Diablo III by playing all afternoon on Sunday. Then, I had to work during the first three quarters of Super Bowl, racing back to my friend's place to see the fourth and get right back to D3. You could call me a Diablatriot.

Willkommen flatlanders! Some days of the week I wear a collared shirt, but it annoys me to tuck it in. So I don’t, but I imagine people are thinking I am a slob. So I thought I’d compromise and go Nathan Drake on it and do the half-tuck. But, I’m not sure how that works. So let’s take look at that.

Concerning Dragon Magazine 81, January 1984, the year Dr. Seuss (Theodor Geisel) was given the Pulitzer Prize. He also published The Butter Battle Book, a tale metaphorical of The Cold War arms race. In ’89, a TV special was made of it directed by famous animator Ralph Bakshi! There were a couple of Dr. Seuss video games made based on the movies. There was The Grinch on PS1, which also got ported to DS. It looks pretty average but at least they give you a jet pack. Then, there was Cat in the Hat for PS2/Xbox that looks a little bit better.
