Played Minecraft with Mark most of the day today. We played two different seeds. In both I got to the Nether and couldn't find the Fortress. It's kind of important to find that thing to advance to the End Portal. No, I mean it's essential. That's the problem with random generation sometimes. I really should find a good seed and stick to it, but I don't want to enter that terribly long number every time. 

Jumping around quite a bit this weekend. First off, pickups. I got that new Pikmin amiibo and the NFC reader/writer for 3DS, and Disney’s Bolt for $10, all on my trade-in money. I wanted Batman Arkham Origins too but Gamestop wanted $20 for the Xbox 360 version. No way! Here’s a pic.

Got it new too. I notice that amiibo symbol on the top of the box there. Too bad I have the old 3DS and can't take advantage of that. I'd upgrade if it were possible for me, but it's not. I still want that new Pikmin amiibo anyway just for display purposes. The Gamestop I went too wouldn't let me have it because they said they were holding it for someone. Bah! Another reason I dislike going there anymore. Allways unfriendly, always wasting my time. I'm glad I'm not renewing my membership after this. I'm seriously considering going online for all my purchases, retro or new. 

I’ve changed my mind, or at least altered it.

I got myself overwhelmed with game choices again, and so I’ve got a new plan to get things under control.

First thing I did today was try and get OneDrive to connect files from my PC and phone to my XBO. I could only do it from the PC side. The XBO app only let me see the account linked to my XBO, not my PC account. I searched and searched for documentation on this XBO app but found nothing even on Microsoft’s own web sites. It was really frustrating.

I’m seriously considering switching to playing only small indie games. Full game experiences are so involved. Whole weekends disappear. I don’t know if I like that right now. But I’m going to finish what I started, and that is Lego Pirates of the Caribbean.

Why is it that time flies so fast when you’re gaming? I get so annoyed by it. I start a game, and by the time I look at the clock, the day is almost done. It’s crazy. I just kind of wish games were a little more compact and focused without so much content. Some of the indie games I’ve played have been really satisfying completing them to 100% in under 20 hours. But I can’t resist the call. And when a game calls me, I have to listen. Today it was all about Lego Pirates of the Caribbean.

I started some Fire Emblem Echoes [FEE] the other night. I’m really loving it so far. The game dives right into battles. Fire Emblem Fates Birthright lost me with all the other stuff you could do at the castle. I like in FEE that you can have the dialog run automatically instead of having to hit “A” after every sentence. I was heavily multitasking the other night listening to the dialog and music while I wrote my blog. I really enjoyed that. I want to find time all week to play some more. We’ll see if I can do it around work and school.
