For instance, when you give students 3 weeks to complete a project and they all do their editing the day before. Makes it much easier to meet their cries of sorrow with the letter K.

I have to do a better job of engaging my students in the material. They have to do a better job of meeting me halfway by studying on their own time and taking ownership of what they do with their projects outside of class.

The Martian was like a more light-hearted take on Gravity, starring Matt Damon. I liked it.

is easier to just jump in and play for me than The Witcher III ... took it back to Red Box and rented The Martian and Sicario for the price of one flick, watching those tomorrow.

But I teach an Intro to Media class and am going to spend class time linking it to concepts like illegal downloading, music streaming, and the propensity for music to advance social justice in my class tomorrow, so here's the blog I'm writing anyway.
