I thought that by organizing a list of games I was interested in playing would be a good way to experience them all in a timely manner but in hindsight, I think it was a bad idea over all. The good thing is that I was able to spend more time with each game than I normally would have, and discovered games I normally wouldnt play. The bad thing is that I didnt like a couple of games, triple A games, long games,  and I didn't enjoy the time I spent with them. I feel like I wasted my time actually. I had such a bad time in fact that I went back and started playing games I know I enjoyed. This backlog is what caused my desire to want to stop gaming and a reminder of why I just cannot trust mainstream game review sites. I've gone off on mainstream game reviewers in the past, so I wont do it anymore. I just find opinions from enthusiasts on forums, youtube and blogs to be more honest sometimes and just as valiable. I think it's time to let go of the game reviewer as god and accept more opinions from the community as well.

Microsoft is publishing the the game after all. Keep in mind that it is a Square-Enix game and so there is still a possibility of it appearing on a Sony platform sometime in the far future like Mass Effect. I was wondering why no one posted about this on here. Is it still just a rumor?

Middle-Earth is B-O-R-I-N-G and Borderlands is too.

I normally don’t enjoy bashing on games, especially when I know that there are real devoted fans of certain franchises and genres and you can’t come off as anything less than a clueless jerk when disliking anything popular, but I must. Usually when I don’t like a game I just don’t bother writing anything about it at all, and I don’t bother to finish it either. I’m not a games reviewer and I have plenty of options out there so I don’t feel an obligation to spend more time with a game more than I want to. How am I supposed to know when to give up on a game? Answer is: when I’ve just stopped playing for a long ass time and don’t feel like playing more of it.

Sixty Hours Later – Dragon Age 2

I think that Dragon Age 2 might be one of my favorite games of the last decade. Not the best game of all time or a superior successor to the first DA game, but I had fun nonetheless and I think that’s what really matters in the end, right? There needs to be something said about a game that is capable of taking you away from other games long enough to want to see it through to the end, right? By long enough I mean sixty full hours! I can’t think of many games, aside from certain MMOs or possibly an open world type game that has pulled me into its world recently the way this game has. My only real regret is giving up on it when the game first released. I’m not sure what happened between then and now that I suddenly found this game to be so intriguing?

Long Ass Games Make Me Nervous

Been a while since I posted. In truth, I was planning on doing another game club for December but couldn’t quite decide on a game. There are so many games releasing at the moment that it would be difficult to focus on one specific game. I think it might best be suited as a summer time thing or for when there is a gaming drought, and currently we are in a gaming downpour. I’m sure we will be getting hit with holiday sales for games all over the place pretty soon so asking people to buy a game for a game club would be ill advised at the moment.
