Definitely going to have pick this up at some point. I could use some free roam mayhem.

I may be nearing the end of the main story in Crackdown 3 already. I’ve done almost every activity on the map too.
I found myself climbing skyscrapers a lot and doing platform jumping challenges. Center city is where all the giant buildings are and that’s where the bosses go once you’ve destroyed their bases around the perimeter. So, you end up there eventually and have to do a lot fo climbing.
I did every leaping and vehicle racing challenge at least once. I did well on the leaping races but struggled on the car races because the cars handle terribly. I eventually started getting better at it, but it was very frustrating. Cars get stuck or diverted on anything at all in their way. I think the driving was better in Crackdown 1, and that’s not saying much. Leaping across buildings is a blast though. Your character handles very well, even better than the first game. You can actually crawl up a featureless wall after a jump to get some extra distance, and you have a jet pack assist and a dash move.
My favorite thing is combat though. It kept reminding me of Borderlands because you fight some large construction robots and explosions are huge and fiery. It was almost too easy on the default difficulty though. I almost power-punched my way through it. Only on drones and those large robots did I unleash the rockets.
What’s next? There are two more bosses, as far as I know. There are orbs to find and various skill challenges to master, but those aren’t enormously interesting to me. Combat is where it’s at, but I don’t really want to play against the same bosses again on a higher difficulty. I’ll try the multiplayer and check the achievement list for things to do once the story is done.
