I played through the campaign of EDF 2017 today on Xbox One. It's a Xbox 360 game made backward compatible just a week or so ago. I played it some way back when but never got any achievements for it. This time I got one for completing all 53 levels on normal difficulty.

The EDF series is a third-person shooter. I call it the Dynasty Warriors for shooters. You run around and shoot at hoards of badies like a super human. 

This back compat version on Xbox One looks a little nicer than it did on Xbox 360 and runs super smooth. I didn't notice a single frame drop the whole time, even when I was in the last levels and literally buried in enemies. 

This particular EDF game has 2 player mode but only same screen, not online like the sequels. So Mark and I played it at the same time on our respective machines. 

It was fun. It's a good shooter in its own kind of rediculous way. I'm very fond of the series and hope that EDF V, when it comes to the U.S. next year, is released on Xbox One as well as PS4 so Mark and I can both play it. The last EDF game only came to PS4 but Microsoft has put the first two games on backwards compatibility, so that suggests a good relationship with the publisher and has my hopes up. 

Well, onward. Saturday begins my work week, strangely enough. My weird life right now continues on.
