Dudeski icon Dudeski describes itself as an arcade skiing adventure. Your goal is to "race down the slopes of Shred Lord Mountain. Reach the bottom and join the Shred Lords as one of the raddest there ever was." This translates to a pretty fun little game. You ski from the top of the screen to the bottom, pushing on the left side of the screen to go left and the right side to go right. Press both sides to jump (this is definitely not a one-handed game). You receive a speed penalty if you don't go through the slalom gates correctly, which is a big issue because you're trying to outrun an avalanche, and hitting any rocks or trees will end your run. You can collect pine cones along the way and trade them with penguins for stuff. I've yet to buy anything in the store because I saved my cones to unlock the forest tunnel. The mountain is divided into several zones—the top of the mountain leads to the forest and I just unlocked the forest tunnel. Now I can jump straight there from the title screen. It's nice that you don't have to do the entire mountain in a single run to make it to the bottom.

Overall this seems like a pretty cool little game. It controls well and has catchy music. Check it out!

I used to play Slalom endlessly with my brothers on the original NES.  Never beat it.  Don't know if it can be beat. But damn did we ever play that game!

I used to play it on PC all the time. Such a simple, addictive thing.

Reminds me of Activision's Skiing for Atari 2600.

I haven't played many Atari games but I can imagine how that would work. I assume your character was just a square lol

Wow, that actually looks a lot better than I thought it would.

Activision's games for Atari 2600 have the best look. Their design was perfectly suited for the system. They kept it simple, colorful, and focused on simple gameplay. That system couldn't do much more anyway.
